Airsoft Classic Army CA8-2: Installing 8.4-9.6v battery
One of the many ways for a flawless installation of a 8.4 or 9.6v battery inside Classic Army CA8-2 airsoft sniper rifle. Did not have any chance to check with a longer batteries as the above two are the only voltages I use.

you will be better off with Dean Connectors instead of Tamiya. Dean’s are more rigit and are rated for higher currents = faster rate of fire.

Hi, I replied a few days ago, but the post did not go through, so I’ll try again.
1) it’s a Small (mini) Tamiya connector
2) It’s HARD to fit any NiMH pack larger than 1700mah 9.6v. But a 2000mah 11.1v LiPo can easily fit – longer fun, faster rate of fire.
3) no
4) yes if you combine the batteries together, but the space can be used more efficiently with already combined packs.
hope that helps

Hi, I am unaware if CA has made a new release of 420fps SL8. Can you give a link to it? Google shows old models.

Can a Large Type 9.6V Fit in the NEW CA SL8? The one that shoots 420FPS BTW.

I realized the only way to boos the power is to switch to LiPo battery packs. with the upgraded gears and nice shimming, 11.8v 3s LiPo packs makes a nice beast of these, otherwise a 7.2v 2s LiPo pack will give a lot more capacity for the same space.
handling of LiPo and LiOns are a bit tricky though, requires a strict dicipline.

9.6v are definately faster, but the duration will still depend on the battery type and the capacity.

All the CA’rs have very tight space for the batteries. I got a CA36K and it´s tight as hell, but they fit
Good guns.
