Compact Sniper Rifle, airsoft – Informal accuracy test 1
This is the informal accuracy test of the “Tactical – Urban Warrior 1″ Compact – Airsoft sniper rifle. Target is at 50 feet (15.24 meters), In-doors, using .25g ICS Extreme Precision bbs . The rifle is based on a Well brand L-96 platform. Has a shortened outer AND inner tight barrel (to about VSR G-spec length) so that I could mount a working, proprietary baffle, suppressor that not only mitigates noise but also enhances accuracy and velocity due to free-bore boost. I modified the lower area of the stock (added “finger notches” as in the real-steel rifle) and added a “dummy magazine” which is functional as it has a compartment for a spare magazine. It has a “harris-type” bi-pod and is topped with a Tasco 40X 4 -16, illuminated Tactical scope with sunshade and lens caps and a custom built anti-reflection device and I also mounted a bubble-level to help keep the rifle straight in shooting, which is more critical in an airsoft gun as the trajectory of the projectile is short and parabolic. It has a “reptilian pattern” camo finish in olive-drab. Reduced the overall length to be suitable as a precision rifle for urban sniping or DMR roles where engagement distances are usually closer. Gun’s length: 36″ (91.4cm) without suppressor, 40.5″ (103cm) with suppressor.
