EdGi Bar-10 Barrel Review and Info
EdGi Bar-10 6.01mm Ported Tightbore Barrel. This barrel was $75 for the barrel it self, $5 for the porting at the end of the barrel, and $10 for shipping (If you live in the US and but from the US distributer). The barrel sent is $90 even. The barrel is 435mm long. This is a great barrel and possibly the best airsoft sniper rifle barrel on the market today. These barrel are made in the Philippines by EdGi and are sent to Ben in Delaware US for US distributing. Ben is a good guy to deal with and he is trustworthy. Paired with the Nine Ball hop-up bucking found at Airsoft Atlanta for $16.99, your accuracy and range will have a huge boost. EdGi also sells something called an EdGi kit. This includes a high-quality piston, spring, spring guide, sear set, and cylinder head. I haven’t bought these yet, but with all of that, you can be firing at close to 500-600 fps, maybe more. The thing is, Ben, the US distributer has stopped selling those power upgrades, so if you want to buy them, you have to buy straight from the maker, EdGi, in the Philippines. EdGi Bar-10 upgrades are the best upgrades you could possibly buy for an airsoft sniper rifle. EdGi US Distributer: www.edgicustom-usa.com EdGi Website/Blog: edgicustom.blogspot.com Nine Ball Hop-up Bucking: www.airsoftatlanta.com (The bucking is about 1/3 down the page) You can also contact EdGi and Ben (Bnoji) on Airsoftforum.com or Airsoftretreat.com If you have the newer version of the Bar-10, installing the EdGi barrel will be a …

I’ve always thought of PDI as superior, but you really can’t go wrong with EdGi either.
I would recommend the KA Air Seal bucking over Nine Ball. Perfect compression, and very consistent. The compression is so good that my gun got a few decibels louder when I installed it.

High-speed brass is how fast its spinning when the machine is cutting it, and the faster the machine cuts it, the better quality it is.

@Darkstar2520
A barrel usually doesn’t add any range or fps. It might ad 5-10 fps but that would only be a few more feet.

I don’t see why not. They are basically clones of each other

I couldn’t say exactly how much but I can make a guess. The stock barrel on it is 6.05mm, which is really good stock but could use an upgrade if what u want is a long range rifle. Plus it looks like it can go full auto. If u are just doing semi auto, i would say ur range would be in the 200ft-250ft at most. This is just one bb, it can get blown away. On full auto, i think u can successfully reach longer ranges. This is only a guess, hope it helps.

roight…. so how much u think??

The range really depends on the sum of its parts. KWA is an awesome brand and I would guess that you would get very good performance out of that.

im thinking about getting one for my kwa sr12 how more range would i get? like 50 more feet??

I’m assuming you have it put in your gun now, and I was wondering if the ported holes really made a huge difference?
May 4th, 2010 at 4:14 am
@whyhedodat yes, he is

is ben the same distributor for polar star?
May 4th, 2010 at 5:14 am
Is this going to be the only current upgrade on your gun? If so, could you post a video of what it shoots like without any other upgrades?
May 4th, 2010 at 6:10 am
It comes without holes unless you ask. Its only $5 extra last time i checked.
May 4th, 2010 at 7:08 am
i got a barrel from edgi but it didnt have the holes up front… i wonder if mine is an older version.. you think?

@memkills wrong
May 4th, 2010 at 8:22 am
@mals101 it is worth it, the edgi are slightly longer, which does give you an accuracy boost, if a very minimal one
and the edgi has a larger outer diameter, the metal is thicker so does not vibrate as much when you fire your gun, leading to more accuracy
May 4th, 2010 at 9:19 am
this is the best barrel for snipers.
May 4th, 2010 at 9:55 am
do you think it is worth spending extra money to get the edgi barrel, because there’s another one thats cheaper.
