MP001 Review and Common Problem (High Quality)
This is a review and a description of a common problem with the AGM MP001 having to to with “slam fire”, and a brief review of the formerly Leapers UTG 2-9×50 Mil Dot scope with intensified reticule support. The AGM MP001 sniper rifle is a generic replica of the Tokyo Marui VSR-10 sniper rifle. I have NOT tested it and do not know if it comes up to par with the UTG. (Link Below) www.airsplat.com The problem with my gun is that it “slam fires” or does not allow the trigger sear to correctly catch the spring and slams back to its original position when the bolt is pushed back into its original forward resting position after being cocked back. As I will tell you I have taken the gun apart and have found and patched the trigger sear with a small flexible piece of aluminum (soda can metal works the best) and some super glue. READ: Great gun, great distance, fps hurts, causes bleeding.
HELP> Mine is double, sometimes triple loading, sometimes not loading a bb, and I have ot take clip out to let it fall out. I clean my rifle regularly and all springs have good pressure still, it seems. Please post ideas to fix. Maybe a new clip?? Anyone do the airbreak mod? Good or bad?

this happened to my sd700. (at least thats what i think it’s called) I started doing the same thing you did. I got frustrated and kept pulling the bolt back. on the last time i did, the bolt was half down and it snapped the safety clear off and into my friends face. it’s kinda funny cause he was like 150 ft away. lol
anyways i just sent it back and it works fine now. thats all i can say. send it to someone who can properly fix it if this happens to you.

wow well i guess all springers wear out sometime lol, it is true that replacement sears are available on ASGI, and they arent too expensive to add…ill add these in an annotation and in the info box soon, thank you for the tips!

ah yes the silver piece is what holds the top part of the assembly (the barrel) to the gun. you need to reassemble it as you disassembled it, and ensure all of the pieces are aligned, and then using a wrench or other solid object, push on the “silver thing” hard, it may seem a bit tough, but itll work.

wow usually putting a higher power spring in your gun wears it down more, youre lucky!
May 2nd, 2010 at 7:04 am
nicely done lol i guess you took wonderful care of everything
May 2nd, 2010 at 7:40 am
yes that is precisely the solution, ill add an annotation as soon as I can

i also got the AGM MP001, the trigger sears wore down, got the JG BAR10, and now its trigger sears have worn down as well.
for supposedly being the best stock spring sniper on the market it didn’t hold up too long. (10 months) and if your friend files down the front and sides of his clip a little it should fit like a dream.
hopefully your trigger sears don’t crap out like mine did but you can find good steel replacements on ASGI.
