Marui VSR 10 G Spec

Friday, December 24th, 2010

Tokyo Marui VSR10 G-Spec After adjusting the hop-up and scope, Tom Bomb gets shot by a Tokyo Marui VSR-10 G-Spec sniper rifle, fully upgraded to fire at 170 meters per second (550 fps) and using 0.28g bbs, from about 40 meters (125 feet) away. This gun is so accurate you can hit someone almost a football field away. At the distance that Tom is standing, the shooter can hit specific body parts with ease. This gun as a Laylax inner barrel, zero trigger system, Laylax spring guide, a 170 spring for incredible velocity, silent dampeners, cylinder head, and barrel spacers for increased accuracy. Also mounted on is a Rock Mount bipod which was purchased at a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Phoenix, Arizona; and a Leapers ACCUSHOT model 168 scope. The muzzle velocity is so high that at 125 feet from the shooter, it feels as though the shooter hit you point-blank with a typical spring pistol an inch from your skin. I enjoy using this gun and can’t believe how awesome it is. The VSR, all the internal parts and the scope were bought from www.trinityairsoft.com (The best US based airsoft site in existence!) Mauser SR – Maintenance – Cylinder, Piston, and Spring Guide Overhaul/Cleaning

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

Through time, your piston head, inner cylinder, and cylinder head will become fouled with tiny bits of metal from your piston and your trigger sear, and oil or silicone residue. As well as a loss of velocity through time, as your spring comtinues to compress. I took the liberty to work on my rifle after a downpour we had on Sunday, May 02, 2010. An UPDATE to my new rifle velocity will be made on Sunday, May 16, 2010. It was time for my maintenance overhaul, and this is how I do it…..

EdGi Bar-10 Barrel Review and Info

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

EdGi Bar-10 6.01mm Ported Tightbore Barrel. This barrel was $75 for the barrel it self, $5 for the porting at the end of the barrel, and $10 for shipping (If you live in the US and but from the US distributer). The barrel sent is $90 even. The barrel is 435mm long. This is a great barrel and possibly the best airsoft sniper rifle barrel on the market today. These barrel are made in the Philippines by EdGi and are sent to Ben in Delaware US for US distributing. Ben is a good guy to deal with and he is trustworthy. Paired with the Nine Ball hop-up bucking found at Airsoft Atlanta for $16.99, your accuracy and range will have a huge boost. EdGi also sells something called an EdGi kit. This includes a high-quality piston, spring, spring guide, sear set, and cylinder head. I haven’t bought these yet, but with all of that, you can be firing at close to 500-600 fps, maybe more. The thing is, Ben, the US distributer has stopped selling those power upgrades, so if you want to buy them, you have to buy straight from the maker, EdGi, in the Philippines. EdGi Bar-10 upgrades are the best upgrades you could possibly buy for an airsoft sniper rifle. EdGi US Distributer: www.edgicustom-usa.com EdGi Website/Blog: edgicustom.blogspot.com Nine Ball Hop-up Bucking: www.airsoftatlanta.com (The bucking is about 1/3 down the page) You can also contact EdGi and Ben (Bnoji) on Airsoftforum.com or Airsoftretreat.com If you have the newer version of the Bar-10, installing the EdGi barrel will be a

How to silence the airsoft L96 sniper rifle with an airbrake

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

I wanted to silence my type 96 sniper rifle as much as possible, I’ve already added some custom buffing to the back of the cylinder head. My brother has a VSR G-spec that is super quiet thanks to the airbrake on the piston head, so I decided to make an airbrake for my piston head. NOTE: this will not work on the piston/head supplied with the rifle, all my cylinder internals have been replaced. It’s now as quiet as the G-spec, and i’m yet to add a silencer… 2nd NOTE: adding an airbrake will make your rifle quieter but will also decrease you fps. By shortening the airbrake, you will increase the fps but the rifle will get noisier. Any question just leave comments…
