I wanted to silence my type 96 sniper rifle as much as possible, I’ve already added some custom buffing to the back of the cylinder head. My brother has a VSR G-spec that is super quiet thanks to the airbrake on the piston head, so I decided to make an airbrake for my piston head. NOTE: this will not work on the piston/head supplied with the rifle, all my cylinder internals have been replaced. It’s now as quiet as the G-spec, and i’m yet to add a silencer… 2nd NOTE: adding an airbrake will make your rifle quieter but will also decrease you fps.
