This is an exclusive Airsoft Retreat first look at the production Socom Gear Barrett M82. This replica is full metal, and features a V2 gearbox shooting at 410 FPS. It includes a 650mm long 6.03mm Madbull tightbore barrel. It is a big bulky gun, weighing in at about 25 lbs and coming in at 57″ long, just shy of 5′. This is a rock solid AEG, featuring licensed Barrett Firearms trademarks (licensed through Echo 1) on the CNC machined body. Price is about $850 at various retailers. After one (1) year of un-shakable usage and performance, I thought it is time for a change-over of my 0-rings, since I could not get my velocity up. In fact, I had a 50 FPS DROP when I changed my pistonhead. It was a combination of multiple problems! And it wan’t my port-and-polish of my K2 all steel cylinderhead. It was the nozzle not being able to enter the hop-up chamber for a good nozzle seal. It probably was caused by slam-chamber when I got pissed off at my rifle when my bolt couldn’t lock back.
UTG L96A1 airsoft sniper rifle review. In my opinion, this is a great gun. I’ve upgraded it with several products via airsoftgi.com, and I have all the products’ pages listed on my shooting test video. The fps. of this gun is around 570 with a .30g BB, and I use a .43g BB, which reduces to around 470~530; hard to tell without an official chrono. I would reccommend this gun to anyone in airsoft, experienced or not, for it is fairly cheap, durable, and extremely accurate. Along with it’s great looks, what else could you want?
UTG L96 airsoft sniper rifle shooting test. 12 unopened soda cans from approx. 45-50 feet away, in the wind. I have not done an exact chrono since I upgraded my gun, but my estimate is around 470~530 fps. with a .43g Madbull BB (I HIGHLY reccommend you use these BBs if you choose to upgrade your UTG L96.) I also use .36g BBs for higher fps. and longer range, but it’s up to you what you want to do with your gun in battle. This is an awesome gun….From www.hitugns.com a awesome website I recommend for high level airsoft players…This gun shoots at an amazing 500 fps and its accurate. 3-9-40 scope and its clear. 30rd mag and the gun is mostly metal nice bi-pod too… makes sure you get this gun it might be an old model buts its a classic and well built gun well worth the money
