Through time, your piston head, inner cylinder, and cylinder head will become fouled with tiny bits of metal from your piston and your trigger sear, and oil or silicone residue. As well as a loss of velocity through time, as your spring comtinues to compress. I took the liberty to work on my rifle after a downpour we had on Sunday, May 02, 2010. An UPDATE to my new rifle velocity will be made on Sunday, May 16, 2010. It was time for my maintenance overhaul, and this is how I do it…..
I wanted to silence my type 96 sniper rifle as much as possible, I’ve already added some custom buffing to the back of the cylinder head. My brother has a VSR G-spec that is super quiet thanks to the airbrake on the piston head, so I decided to make an airbrake for my piston head. NOTE: this will not work on the piston/head supplied with the rifle, all my cylinder internals have been replaced. It’s now as quiet as the G-spec, and i’m yet to add a silencer… 2nd NOTE: adding an airbrake will make your rifle quieter but will also decrease you fps. By shortening the airbrake, you will increase the fps but the rifle will get noisier. Any question just leave comments…
of. It has DB tight bore barrel, Laylax 170 spring, Lylax Piston, Laylax Piston head, Laylax barrel spacer, Madbull hop up bucking, PDI hop up, Guarder SS cylinder, Guarder SS cylinder head, Guarder ball bearing SS spring guide and custom spring guide stopper(steel). I also filled the hollow spaces in my gun with foam and put putty on the seams and sanded all the seams flush so that you don’t see any seam. … somlee Som Chai hmong la crosse onalaska airsoft sniper rifle type 96 type96 utg …
