Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

Whenever you are out in the field in the middle of an airsoft exercise, it always pays to make sure that you have a piece of equipment that is going to deliver for you consistently. Whenever you choose something from the G&G Armament, you are sure to receive everything that you’re going to need. Here is a little bit about the G&G Armament of weaponry that you will find available from this company. Regardless of which of the guns you happen to choose, however, you’re sure to get quality and performance from g&g airsoft guns.

Who Are They

G&G has been in business for over 20 years, manufacturing airsoft guns and other equipment that makes them one of the industry leaders. They are focused on quality, both in the equipment that they deliver and for the quality of the customer service that they give to individuals who purchase from the G&G Armament. This makes it a clear choice, but there are are some specific guns that are available which we find to be some of the best that can be found.

Some Popular Guns They Make

For example, the G&G G96 Airsoft green gas/propane powered Sniper Rifle is a solid piece of equipment, that is a bit on the heavy side but most people tend to appreciate that in order to get a little bit more accuracy. The clip is capable of holding 15 rounds and fires them over 600 FPS, which is enough to lay down some serious cover fire for your teammates. As with most of the guns in the G&G armament, it is a combination of metal and ABS plastic. It’s an excellent choice for anybody that is going to be an air soft sniper, but keep in mind that it does not come with the gas. Gas is available optionally from your retailer, so make sure that you order yours at the same time as you order the G96.

They Even Make Great Guns For Beginners

Another good choice for use on the skirmish field is the G&G Combat Machine Series. These are excellent beginner guns from G&G and provide high rates of fire and velocities over 350 FPS and prices under $200. The combat machine series gives you the option of semi automatic and full automatic fire, along with some other included options which make it an excellent choice for beginner and intermediate airsofters ready to do battle.

KJW M700 Takedown Accuracy Test/ Panasonic SDR-H40 Zoom

Friday, May 21st, 2010

This is my KJW M700 with a UTG Tectedge scope. I’m using some .26 BIO BBs and some Propane. It was pretty windy, also cold, both of which effected the accuracy. I didn’t think it preformed too badly, especially under the conditions it was under. This is a great gun for sure, also a great scope. The BBs look like they’re coming in sideways, but that’s just because I have the camera to the left of the gun, so the barrel is pointing in a different direction than the lens of the camera. Also, the Panasonic SDR-H40 has phenomenal zoom.

Types of Airsoft Guns

Friday, January 15th, 2010

The gun itself is obviously the most important tool in airsoft. It can make or break your performance and enjoyment. If you are serious about airsoft then make sure that you get a good gun. Lower priced guns can be fun for a while but most likely they will not last for more than a couple of months and before you know it you will have to buy a new gun if you want to keep playing. Having a quality gun will also make you more competitive. A low quality gun which frequently jams and does not shoot straight is not much fun in the heat of battle. You will spend more time messing with the gun than actually accomplishing your objectives

There are three main categories of airsoft guns: spring, electric, and gas.

Spring guns are often the least expensive, and in some cases the most reliable. A quality spring airsof gun will practically last forever if you don’t abuse it. This is because there are few moving parts within the gun and there is not much which can go wrong. The drawback of spring guns is that they need to be manually cocked before each shot is fired. This makes them good starter guns, but if playing against someone with an automatic AEG then you will have a big disadvantage because they will be able to pump out bbs 100 times faster than you. In serious airsoft battles the only time you really see spring guns used is for sniping. Snipers do not rely on a high rate of fire but instead use tactics, cover, concealment, and marksmanship to take down their prey.

Gas powered gun use either green gas or CO2 as propulsion. In other words, the gas is already pressurized. This makes them easy to use and very realistic. They can fire in semi auto mode, and sometimes even in full auto. The drawback is that once you’re out of gas then the gun is basically useless until you buy more. CO2 is easy to find but Green Gas usually has to purchased online or at a specialty store. There are special adapters which allow propane to be used instead of Green Gas.

The third type of airsoft gun is electric. For rifles this is the most popular type of gun. They are battery powered. The battery turns an electric motor which in turn powers a pistol which compresses air, which is used to propel the BBs. This makes them very powerful because they can shoot in full auto mode for as long as the trigger is pulled back. Many AEGs also come with a high capacity magazine which can hold 300 rounds or more. The batteries are almost always rechargeable so once they are out all you have to do is put them on a charger for a few hours and then you’re ready to play again. In matches and events which last for a day or more an is a good idea to have a spare battery or two to use while the other is charging.
