The is the extended review of my friend, Daniel’s Tanaka Works M40A1 Gas airsoft sniper rifle. We went to Acme Brick to film this and unfortunately the wind was pretty wild, so sorry for the noise. In this review he will shoot 2 mags (22 rounds) from 2 different distances (50 feet and 100 feet) at a “Man size target”. At 50 feet from the target he will use .28 gram bb’s. At 100 feet he will use .40 gram bb’s. In total this review will [hopefully] prove to you that the Tanaka M40A1 is a adequate and worth purchasing gun. Thanks! Please Comment, Rate, And Subcribe! Disclaimer: The target does NOT have anything to do with religion. – During this test I used two cameras, there are no tricks to this video, the shots are real. From 40 – 45 yards with no upgrades, still packs a punch. The target is the same size that I am. I highly recommend this gun. Gun – www.airsplat.com (you can get it anywhere) Ghillie – www.ghilliesuitsonline.com Scope – Daisy Powerline scope with weaver rings, both at Wal-Mart. (This IS just a bb gun.) BB’s – KSC 0.25g, = the best IMO – www.airsoftatlanta.com
This is my review of the warrior l96 airsoft sniper rifle. I got it for £150 including the scope and bipod from www.actionhobbys.co.uk It fires at around 500fps with a 0.20g bb although i do suggest using a heavier bb such as the 0.28g bb’s that I use. The barrel and trigger system is fully metal and the body frame is made out of ABS plastic making it a very heavy gun. Once you have sighted the scope in and ajusted the hop up this gun will become very accurate and I can hit a “head” size target from 100ft away. If you have any questions then feel free to ask. Dont forget to rate, comment and subscribe if you liked this video. IFYOU HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE COLOUR OF THE GUN THEN READ THIS NEXT PASSAGE… From the 1st of October 2007, the laws regarding airsoft guns have changed for the UK. The VCR act states… If you are under 18 years of age, it is now illegal for you to buy an airsoft gun or any other replica firearm. This means that under 18’s cannot purchase a RIF (Realistic Imitation Firearm). However if you are over 18 you may apply for a license, which will permit you to buy a RIF. “2 Tone” TM Airsoft guns comply with the VCR Act 2007, you do not need to be registered to buy them BUT YOU MUST be over 18 years of age. Shooting at a 4″ by 4″ target about 75 feet away. Shoots 470 fps, i mounted the camera onto the cheekplate so it can see through the scope. Enjoy and subscribe
The gaming and tournament circuit has made an impact on airsoft guns, just as it has for paintball and regular bb guns. Creating the right atmosphere is imperative to the positive airsoft gaming experience that any player wants to have. With this in mind, your shopping list will basically make itself with just a bit of help to get you into the right frame of mind.
First things first, you’ll need to choose your gun style to create your ultimate player. Sniper rifles are a prime choice, as the actions of such a skilled rifleman are often imitated in the airsoft hobby. Pistols definitely have their following, while traditional rifle and shotgun users also have a crystal-clear home in the airsoft gun industry, as this hobby uses products and accessories that are the closest possible to the real thing.
Safety glasses, goggles, or a full-face airsoft mask are the most important of accessories. The airsoft bb travels at approximately 300 feet per second and will hurt if you’re struck by one (yes, I know this from personal experience), so you really should keep your eyes protected from the possibility of temporary or even permanent blindness. If you engage in tactical airsoft (against other human opponents), the odds of a bb flying past your face is significantly higher than if you’re shooting parallel to a fellow airsoft enthusiast at a target 40 feet in front of you.
Tactical vests are a “must-have” for any airsoft devotee who can’t remember which pocket they put their co2 cartridges, bb’s and loaders into while out in the field, or just anyone who likes to have lots of places to keep their smaller-sized airsoft paraphernalia within an arm’s reach at all times. Hidden inner-pockets are quite common on the sleeveless jacket style, while the harness-type of vest boasts a lighter, less bulky version that has plenty of room for your ammo, water bottle and snack. Please note that even though the sleeveless jacket style will help to protect you from accidental (or intentional) bb bruises, the harness version offers hardly any protection. In this case, a combat vest might be a wise investment to wear out onto the battlefield.
If you’re really a fanatic about airsoft, there are a few more interesting items that just might be of interest. For the airsoft snipers, a Ghillie suit is “the” type of camouflage worn most often in real world combat. Two caveats to keep in mind regarding this type of gear: one is that the suit itself is relatively heavy and warm and the second is that most airsoft “soldiers” won’t be shocked to see a 6’ tall running bush, so don’t think that you and your new-found tactical ensemble are really fooling anyone.

A sniper is an infantry soldier best known for exceptional long-range marksmanship and covert tactics. It is a difficult, yet highly revered role. If you are interested in becoming a sniper, there are a few things you will need to procure as you prepare for the role.
Airsoft Sniper Rifle. The most important piece of gear you will need is a high-powered, precision-accuracy Airsoft sniper rifle. These riffles typically have an extremely high FPS (power) rating and a long barrel, allowing for more precise, long-distance firing. It is important to practice with your rifle before you assume the sniper role. The more second nature your rifle becomes, the more likely you will be able to achieve your goals on the field. Scope / Optics. Sniper rifles are often bundled with scopes and/or bipods to help improve accuracy. You should have at least one decent, entry-level scope on your rifle to ensure you can keep a safe distance from your target. A side arm. You will need a smaller side arm (airsoft AEGs are a popular choice) in case your position is compromised. A simple pistol and holster should give you some defense if you are charged with enemy fire in a close combat scenario. Camouflage. Quality camouflage will give you the security you need to line up precision shots. Ghillie suits are a popular and effective choice. Choose one that will blend well with the terrain you plan to snipe in. Occasionally you may move between different types of terrain, such as field to forest. Make sure your camo can adapt with the move. Quality ammunition. Only quality BBs will work with high-performance airsoft sniper rifles. Lower grade BB’s will break apart and jam your weapon. Worse yet, if you use cheap BBs you will void your rifle’s warranty. High quality BBs that are only sold at airsoft specialty retailers. These BB’s will also improve your performance as they improve FPS and firing accuracy. Skills and knowledge. Being a sniper doesn’t mean you need to have the most expensive rifle. Skills such as marksmanship, discipline, and knowledge of the sniper role are much more important. Do your research and keep in mind that snipers don’t fire off many shots in a game… it’s about making select strategic kills without giving away your position.
